Regarding Imported Malibu Boats

Malibu Boats LLC (Malibu USA) advises purchases of Malibu boats in Australia or New Zealand that boats manufactured in the USA and imported into Australia or New Zealand (aka ‘grey imports’) have no warranty coverage by Malibu USA. Further, the independent Australian manufacturer of Malibu boats (and the Australian and New Zealand Malibu dealer network) provide no warranty coverage for USA manufactured Malibu boats. If you are looking to buy a new or used Malibu, don’t get caught with an import that is not supported by any warranty coverage from the USA, or any parts or technical support from the USA and Australian manufacturers. Make sure yours is a genuine Australian made Malibu by checking the easy to find Hull Identification Number (HIN) embossed into the starboard transom. Australian made Malibu boats are built to a standard specifically for Australian conditions, using materials to suit or environment. Australian made Malibu’s are supported by the Australian manufacturer’s warranty and the manufacturer’s dealer network.
